Supporting the Barnes Foodbank.

We are proud to serve our local community by hosting a distribution point for the Richmond Foodbank, supported by The Trussell Trust. We believe that no one in our area should have to face going hungry.
This Foodbank is a vital resource that provides nutritionally balanced emergency food and compassionate support to individuals and families who are facing crisis.
How to Get Help (Clients)
The Barnes Foodbank operates on a voucher-referral system. You must have a valid food voucher to receive a food parcel.
Obtain a Voucher
If you are in crisis, you need to be referred by a local agency. Agencies that can issue vouchers include:
-
Grace Advocacy (who you can visit at our Open Church sessions).
-
Citizens Advice Richmond
-
Local doctors, schools, or social workers.
If you are unsure where to get a voucher, please contact the Richmond Foodbank directly for advice on referral agencies.
Collect Your Food Parcel
Once you have a voucher, you can exchange it at our distribution point:
-
Location: Castelnau Community Centre, SW13 9AQ
-
Day & Time: Every Friday morning, 9:15 AM – 11:15 AM
How You Can Help (Donations & Volunteers).
The Foodbank relies entirely on the generosity of our community. Your support directly helps your neighbours.
1. Donate Food
We can only accept in-date, non-perishable food items. The Foodbank's needs change weekly, but common needs include:
-
Tinned meat and vegetables
-
Long-life milk and juice
-
Cereals
-
Toiletries (e.g., deodorant, soap, toilet roll)
Where to donate: You can drop off your donations at Holy Trinity Church during our Sunday service from 10 - 12:30pm and on Wednesdays during Open church sessions from 10 - 12pm
2. Financial Donations
Monetary donations help the Foodbank purchase essential items that have run low, pay for operating costs, and ensure they can respond immediately to new needs.
3. Volunteer
If you are interested in volunteering to help at the Foodbank on a Friday please email foodbank@htbarnes.org
